Accounts Receivable Manager - Stoughton, MA

Position Objective:Under minimal supervision, plans, schedules, and directs work of the Accounts Receivable unit within the established accounting policies of the organization. Manages a team of cash application specialist, analyst, and/or Accounts Receivable specialists. General Responsibilities: Monitors Accounts Receivable processing, calculations and records, including cash receipts, claims, overdue invoices, interest charges, refunds, and related items. Prepares periodic and special reports. Recommends changes in methods/procedures to increase the efficiency of the Accounts Receivable unit.Generate and analyze credit reports to establish appropriate customer credit levels.Administer cash entry.Analyze accounts for cash entry.Analyze and maintain accurate balances between general ledger and bank accountsReview and analyze accounts on payment hold.Research and follow up on all customer disputes.Provide invoice copies, proof of delivery, and all other back up for customers as needed.Administer Returns Programs within system.Supply return reconciliations to specific accounts as needed.Process monthly statements.Issue credits and debits as required.Perform annual performance reviews of Accounts Receivable team. Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervises work of unit; plans, schedules, reviews and approves assigned tasks. Reports unsafe/unethical/illegal activities to supervisor or Human Resources. Oversees the direction of the Accounts Receivable Analyst or others on the Accounts Receivable/cash applications team. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Is typically assigned broad goals and/or areas of responsibility. Has substantial latitude for independent action in setting and obtaining goals. Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor Degree is Accounting or Finance preferred3 - 5 years of experience in cash applications or Accounts Receivable2 years of experience managing a team within finance functionsPhysical Requirements/Environment: The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. In general, the activity level one usually performs is light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative and sedentary nature. This position may require lifting up to 25 pounds.
