Accounts Receivable Manager

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research is looking to fill our Accounts Receivable Manager role. In this position you will supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day account activity. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by working with systems to collect, analyze, verify, and report financial information./

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily operations of invoicing and account activity
• Monitor and analyzes accounting data
• Reports financials data to accounting firm
• Leads and motivates staff
• Encourages a continuous improvement culture
• Monitors and reviews the performance of direct reports, and provides prompt and objective coaching, mentoring, and counseling.
• Resolves performance, job satisfaction, and interpersonal issues, balancing employee and department needs
• Establishes performance targets and develops and leads team to achieve these targets
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• US Citizenship required
• Associates degree in Business, Finance, Or Accounting required
• 5-10 years' experience in Accounts Receivable and accounts payable required
• 3-5 years supervisory experience required
• Understanding and knowledge of all accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Effective business judgment and decision-making skills
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff at all levels.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as other organizational/planning tools
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong time-management skills
• Ability to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of time
