Accounts Payable Specialist

Local, family-owned and growing Manufacturing company is looking to add a dynamic member to the Finance Team!

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate inputting and payment of all vendor invoices and running payroll for three different entities. He or she will be dedicated to the success of LeClaire Manufacturing. She will be detail-oriented, eager to learn and comfortable working with company financials. He must be able to work well with others and help facilitate a team environment.

The AP Specialist must be open to new ideas and willing to volunteer for special projects and additional responsibilities. This position requires someone who is a hard worker, is able to make decisions with confidence, has the desire to achieve a high degree of success and fulfillment in his/her career and is able to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers alike.

Essential Functions:

• Performs period ending procedures
• Daily tracking of: Amortized tooling spreadsheet
• Track AMM pricing
• Verify invoices against receipts and purchase order prices.
• Retrieve any information discrepancies from purchaser or vendors when necessary.
• Code and enter invoices into ERP system.
• Inputting weekly to ensure prompt payments.
• Maintain fixed asset purchases for company and balance with GL
• Perform closing procedures
• Maintain accurate AP records
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or comparable experience, required.
• Proficient with Excel
• ERP experience a plus
• Accounting software experience, required.
• Proficient with Quickbooks
• Must be able to spend the majority of the workday viewing and working on a computer.
