The Accounts Payable Manager supports the business by overseeing all day to day functions of Accounts Payable to ensure processing and payment of financial obligations of the Reside companies in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for supervision of the Accounts Payable Staff and will be primarily responsible for all accounting work associated with processing Accounts Payable, expense reporting and sales/use tax submissions.
Essential Functions
- Manage team of AP Specialists and AP Supervisor
- Responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable processing for the Reside Companies including all Corporate Housing Markets Wholesale units, Hotel and Student Housing, and Managed Properties
- All corporate & other profit center payments
- Verify approvals and accuracy of invoices received
- Coding invoices & expenses to appropriate general ledger account
- Managing weekly disbursement process
- Ensure ACH/Wire/CC payments are set up in the bank
- Work with Leasing Managers in all divisions to run rent rolls
- Reconcile direct unit cost ledgers including final statements and missed payments
- AP Processing and Requesting Funding for Managed Properties
- Manage company corporate credit card including accounting for transactions & responding to credit card requests
- Completing corporate applications for credit
- Month-end close process
- Year End 1099's
- Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Train and oversee utilities payments for core units
- Cross-train for check requests and general AP duties in case of absence
- Manage shared AP inboxes and ensure all inquiries have been answered
- This position will be responsible for overseeing all day to day functions of Accounts Payable

- Perform interviews, hiring & training
- Handle counseling and terminations
- Responsible for AP Employees' Time Off
- Keep Accounting Manager current on all employee issues
- Review & Approve Timesheets

Required Education & Experience
- High School diploma/GED
- Associates Degree in accounting/business or equivalent experience
- Advanced computer skills of MS Windows, Office and Outlook, Excel and Word
- Other computer software experience -NetSuite
Work Environment
Usual office working conditions. This position will have a desk space with a computer and a phone. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use their hands. The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse and the ability to dial, answer, and talk on a telephone. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This job requires the ability to occasionally work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; boxes, documents and/or other items.
Compensation: $98,000-128,000
Position Type: Full-time
Expected Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. May include holidays and/or alternate days or house as needed.
Travel: This position could require minimal travel, less than 5% of the time.
Work Authorization: The employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
