Accounts Payable Lead

An opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk at a a company in the Industrial field has opened up. This position is offered through Robert Half. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Industrial industry. Based out of the Dimock, Pennsylvania area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

Responsibilities

- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

- Accomplish full-cycle A/P

- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

- Carry out additional projects as required

- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

- Provide customer service to internal business partners

- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
