The position provides direct support to the Accounts Payable manager by processing vendor invoices, reviewing employee expense reports, assisting vendors, and maintaining Financial Advisor's business expense accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, general ledger coding and approval.
- Audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with corporate policy and IRS guidelines.
- Assist with Financial Advisor business expense accounts.
- Make payments directly to vendors using a virtual credit card program.
- Assist with corporate credit card program.
- Respond to all vendor and employee T&E inquiries.
- Assist in month/year end close.
- Match invoices to checks and distribute checks accordingly.
- Open and distribute all AP mail.
- Look into open payments and outstanding balances on invoices.
- Provide guidance to branch and back-office employees on any AP related inquiries.
- Aid in 1099 maintenance and year-end processing.
What you have:
- 0-2 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required, college courses in accounting preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Dynamics SL, Chrome River Expense/Invoice experience a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Accounts Payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem- solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high- volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Location is hybrid with the need to be in the office in Philadelphia two or three days per week.
