POSITION SUMMARY
White Civil Construction is in search for an Accounts Payable Associate within the Springfield, IL & surrounding areas. The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for supporting the team in properly coding and approving invoices and ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

• Assist with set up of vendors and ensure all proper paperwork is received to keep their status active.
• Work with project managers to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices in the accounting system.
• Track discrepancies between purchase orders vs. actual invoice amounts.
• Create and submit change orders when necessary.
• Ensure that payments are made to vendors according to terms.
• Maintain vendor files.
• Open and distribute mail.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
