Job Summary:
As an Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant, you will be part of the Finance department.. The candidate and its team will rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward.
Within the position, the AP Account will be responsible for keeping our systems running smoothly, by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. Our team is searching for a skilled financial AP Accountant to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP Accountant will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial
transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
- Obtain and print signatures on all checks.
- Assist senior financial officers as needed.
- Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the Accounts Payable process.
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
- Comply with national and local financial regulations.
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Maintaining historical records.
- Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding AP payments.
- Continuing to improve the payment process.
- 4 years minimum of experience within the field.
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Experience in Accounts Payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Experience with accounting software and online platforms. .
- Strong Microsoft Project & Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Coursework Completed in Business, Accounting, or Finance/Economics.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong organizational & inter-personal skills.
- Superb time management skills and detail orientation.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
