The Child Development Accounting Technicianprovides accounting functions for Child Development Programs, including communication with members regarding their accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the CD Accounting Coordinator performs accounting functions including preparing billings, processing payments, and maintaining member accounts.
- Takes the lead on monitoring ticket service desk and takes the lead on processing requests or changes (registrations, withdrawals, schedule changes).
- Collaborates with Coordinator on monthly termination process for lack of timely payment; includes emails and phone calls to members.
- Evaluates financial assistance and ICCP eligibility for review by Coordinator and then communicates with members.
- Collaborates with State agency (ICCP) for invoicing and payment.
- Collaborate with site staff to provide the best customer service experience to members.
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent degree required.
- One year of accounting experience or bank teller experience preferred.
- Experience with customer service.
- Experience in a detailed oriented position required.
- Knowledge of, and expertise with, computerized accounting systems and sound working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing.
- Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week. Schedule requirements are flexible. Must be available between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, 4-5 hours per day.
