Accounting Technician AP - Salem, OR

Pay rate: $25-28/hr

Summary

Accounting Tech. AP will process accounts payable transactions, process month end journal entries associated with payable, supply coverage for accounts receivable, and have experience with invoicing. A successful candidate will serve various internal and external stakeholders by providing outstanding customer service.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

• Accounts Payable
• Critical attention to detail
• Experience with billing and invoicing
• General knowledge of computerized accounting systems and how they aid in compiling, maintaining, and using accounting information.
• Extensive knowledge of techniques used to locate errors in accounting records.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting agency fiscal information from reports.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to work some late and unusual hours
• Requires willingness to travel in or out of state, including some overnight trips
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• Long periods of sitting at a desk and/or looking at a computer screen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of Accounts Payable experience

OR

• One (1) year of Accounts Payable experience AND an Associate’s degree in Accounting

• Pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background check screening.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment.
