SUMMARY:
This position will provide accounting support for Centralized properties operated by Remington. This position will assist the Operational Accounting Manager with the administration of all centralized accounting processes, with a focus on payroll and accounts payable. This will include the direct supervision of 3-4 team members, and often will include direct involvement in the completion of departmental tasks. Additional duties will include the ongoing training of hotel personnel, which may include onsite travel, and creating processes to support the property's accounting and human resource functions. The ideal candidate will be proactive and highly organized.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and participate in the completion and processing of bi-weekly payroll batches.
- Provide support for the team on weekly accounts payable processing and reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Ensure the properties and corporate office personnel are maintaining proper accounting records; following Remington's policies and procedures; and adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Develop and administer training to field and corporate office teams for all applicable processes.
- Supervise, develop, and retain direct report personnel.
- Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Three (3) or more years of experience as an Accounting Coordinator, Hotel Controller, or comparable position preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems preferred (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage and motivate subordinates to accomplish goals
