Accounting Specialist – Schaumburg, IL
$55,000 - $65,000 (based on experience)+ Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with match.
Our corporate construction office in Schaumburg, IL is IMMEDIATELY seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. He/she will provide support in all accounting functions within the organization including monthly invoicing, account reconciliation, payment application, account maintenance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring energy and passion to everything they do and will not be afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to tackle projects both big and small.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions from invoice receipt to payment
• Support with preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and
• Assist in month end closing processes and prepare journal entries
• Prepare checks and associated reports, as required in accordance with company schedules
• Prepare and maintain pre-authorized payments monthly or as required
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
• Follow up with outstanding balances
• Resolve invoice discrepancies
• Keep company financial information confidential
• Organize and updated accounting records as needed (digital and physical)
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• MINIMUM 2 years of experience in an Accounting role

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organization skills and a high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
