Accounting Manager/Controller - Rjr Ranch

What you'll do:

• Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
• Protects Company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
• Monitors and confirms the Company's financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
• Maximizes returns and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments
• Performs financial modeling to support business decisions and acts as an advisor to senior management
• Prepares budgets and achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variance and initiating corrective actions
• Provides status of the Company's financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data
• Prepares or coordinates the preparation of tax documents
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
• Manages insurance, permitting, and licensing requirements including record retention and compliance
• Oversees the Payroll, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions either personally or by managing staff performing these functions.
• Oversees vehicle title and registration process and manages staff performing these functions
• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential, adheres to the highest ethical standards

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant license Preferred
• Minimum 5-10 years of successful experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and priority scheduling skills
• Ability to motivate team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
