Accounting Manager

Scope:

Reports functionally to CFO, but also to COO. Responsible for the accuracy of the General Ledger, the accurate and timely processing and payment of Vendor invoices, the Credit Collection process and reporting, Fixed Asset and General Ledger account Analysis and Reconciliation. Supervises the processing of Company Payroll and is directly responsible for the filing and reporting to Governmental Regulatory Agencies ie Sales Tax, Withholding Taxes etc.

General Summary:

The Manager position creates financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, supplier invoices and payroll detail. The Manager or their designate also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy.

Typical work activities:

• Approve for payment Supplier Invoices in a timely manner
• Fixed Asset Sub-ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Ensure receivables are collected promptly
• Manages Cash receipts and supervises bank deposits-(Remote and In Bank)
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of A/P and A/R accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Provide information to the external accountant
• Maintain an orderly accounting system
• Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements – Sales & Use Tax, Corporate and State Income Tax
• Supervise the processing of payroll in a timely manner
• Maintain company Fringe benefits plans
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
