Pay: $120,000
*Job Summary:*
As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing financial information to management, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and supporting various accounting activities. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to decision-making processes.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Manage the General Ledger activities, including month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
* Compile and review information for month-end financial statements and miscellaneous reports.
* Provide product costing information to support margin objectives.
* Monitor operating results, analyze variances, and report on financial performance.
* Collaborate with departments to advise on cost containment and participate in committees.
* Stay updated with accounting legislation and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
* Lead and develop the accounting team, maintain high ethical standards, and ensure confidentiality.
* Actively participate in ERP upgrades, process improvements, and technology trainings.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor's degree in business with a major in accounting; CPA, CMA, or advanced business degree preferred.
* 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in financial software applications and MS Excel.
* Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make strategic recommendations.
* Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to work in a collaborative environment.
