Description
RANDYS Worldwide is seeking a highly driven and motivated candidate for an Accounting Manager position. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will be an integral member of the accounting team. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, collaborating with the Company's various operations, and have strong attention to detail and self-organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage month-end close including, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Investigate account variances to forecast and budget.
- Analyze financial data and make recommendations to upper management.
- Oversee lease accounting and ensure compliance with ASC 842.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations within the accounting department, with strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Assist with cash forecast.
- Assist in coordinating and completing annual external audits.
- Oversight of bank account reconciliation.
- Provide leadership and motivation to Accounting staff and foster a positive work environment and the retention of associates.
- Assist in updates, creating and maintaining accounting policies, and procedures ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Assist in various state tax reporting.
- Develop and manage a team of 2 or more accounting team members.
- Collaborate with other leaders and departments.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, analysis, and address information requests as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience and 2+ years managing small teams.
- Must have a strong general accounting and financial background.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Highly skilled communicator who enjoys developing staff.
- Must possess a positive and can-do attitude, while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
