Accounting Manager

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. This role will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations as we navigate through a period of significant growth. You will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and play a critical role in shaping the financial landscape of our expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform day-to-day accounting activities to deliver timely monthly closes.
• Revenue recognition across the business, including e-comm, retail and receipts.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to streamline the inventory accounting process and reporting.
• Document and improve processes to support rapid business growth and scalability in accordance with GAAP.
• Participate in financial audits and prepare external reporting such as lender reporting.
• Collaborate with external tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales tax returns.
• Reconciliation and variance analysis of general ledger accounts.

Requirements

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a mix of both public and private.
• Ability to implement an accounting process for our retail channels.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a high-growth or startup environment.
• Prior experience working at a DTC or E-Commerce brand.
• Proficiency using Quickbooks and other ERP systems.
• Big 4 experience is a plus.
• CPA certification is highly preferred.
