Job Description
Accounting:
- Coordinates and works with outsourcing firm to execute monthly financial closing.
- Works with the Tokyo office in the monthly financial closing.
- Works with the front-office personnel to fine-tune the monthly closing, forecast, and cash flow.
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Prepare business activity reports, monthly financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Preparing monthly financial reports; ensuring that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis emphasizing capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Actively communicates with all stakeholders, including HR Manager, Sr. Managers, and Executives, to establish and review interdepartmental processes and procedures.
- Manages the annual financial statement audit/review by third parties and investor(s)
- Assists with due diligence and special projects.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Payroll:
- Processes and completes bi-weekly payrolls, including salaries, benefit deductions, payroll taxes, reimbursements, adjustments, payroll allocations and reconciliations. Ensures that payroll is processed accurately and timely.
- Closely works with HR Manager on any changes during the pay period ensuring they are submitted to payroll system before the deadline.
- Resolves issues and answer payroll-related questions from employees.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Strong ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a small to medium-sized work environment and be agile.
- Manage and prioritize workload from multiple departments and requestors.
- Ability to work independently, without direct guidance, but equally able to adapt to a team environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in accounting and payroll functions, including payroll calculation and processing, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes and regulations in multiple states.
- Proficient in NetSuite.
- Proficient with payroll software, preferably ADP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- 8 years or more of related experience required.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration is preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to travel as needed.

Pay Range
- $85,000 - $100,000 (Annual)
- Long Beach, CA
- Hybrid – minimum of three days a week in the office
