Job Summary .
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To provide the Owner, General Manager, and Langham with accurate, timely, and relevant financial data with which to manage the property.
Requirement .
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
• Prepares or supervises the preparation of income audit and accounts receivable.
• Prepares month end financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Reconciles and remits city, state, and county taxes.
• Performs house bank audits at least monthly or more often if required.
• Balance and post daily bank statement transactions.
• Provides financial information to the Hotel Executive Committee as pertains to the making of sound business decisions.
• Supports other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures established by Langham.
• Month end closing journals and accruals.
• Performs special analysis as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Work inside with varying hours and days.
• Requires repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Must have basic math skills and the ability to use standard office equipment.
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations.
• Understand financial and managerial accounting.
• Must have advanced level of English language.
• Must be able to read and write at an advanced level.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• A college degree in business with intermediate Accounting.
• Job related experience in positions of a lesser degree may be considered adequate under certain conditions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• A minimum of 3 years of Accounting/Business background, preferably in the hotel business.
