Whether we are serving guests, a fellow team member, or a trucking company, we are dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to manage the general accounting functions and oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.Manage and provide daily oversight of team; select, coach, train, and develop direct reports to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviewsReview contracts and implement settlement processesMaintain SOX compliance review and approval process of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliationsReview general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statementsProvide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budgetContinue focus on improving system efficiencies and business practicesComplete audit schedules to support internal and external requestsPerform special projects as assignedModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting requiredMinimum seven years’ experience in accounting or related area requiredMaster’s degree in business or related field preferredCPA preferredSpecialized Knowledge Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsFamiliarity with Lawson or general ledger (GL) accounting software preferredKnowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) preferredCompetenciesStrong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong teamwork, problem-solving, conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate financial principles and practices with non-finance team membersAbility to exercise judgment and make decisions in determining company policies and strategies affecting company financial performanceAdditional InformationNation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/VisionEmployee Fuel Discount 401(k) and Flexible Spending AccountsAdoption AssistanceTuition ReimbursementOnsite GymWeekly PayTeam Member Fuel DiscountAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines28002
