What You'll Do:
- Oversee and support aspects of accounting management including AP operations, payroll and expense accruals, sales tax, local and global tax reporting, inter-company accounting and consolidations, international accounting and foreign currency matters, among other functional areas
- Manage global AP operations, including vendor management, invoice management, and employee expense management. Must be able to work with multiple regions, currencies, and financial ledgers
- Supervise and mentor AP and Payroll team
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expenses
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and proper bookkeeping. Proficient in compiling reports and forms for internal and external needs
- Pay employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts
- Oversee all payment transactions including ACH, wires, and paper checks
- Determine payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, as well as employer's social security, unemployment, and workers' compensation payments
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure payroll and employment tax reporting is accurate
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Prepare and file non-income tax returns including sales and use tax, commercial activity tax, Canadian GST tax, and estimated tax payments
- Ensure accuracy of 1099 and other tax related information
- Manage journal entries, invoices, etc. and account reconciliations for the monthly and annual closing
- Review the Company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
- Oversee period end closings to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
- Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed to support decision making as well as to quantify opportunities and risks
- Improve existing processes to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises the AP & Payroll team, including an AP Manager, Supervisor, and Accountants. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bring It!
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience including accounts payable, payroll and general accounting/account reconciliations
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in accounting/finance
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- MBA and/or CPA license is a strong plus
- Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP software is a strong plus
- Experience with UKG (formerly Ultimate Software/UltiPro) is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually
