Full-Charge Bookkeeper +++
We are looking to hire an experienced, full charge bookkeeper to handle the accounts for our company's (8) entities. In this role you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting duties for all entities. To ensure success, you should have advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting systems, be highly organized, able to prioritize necessary tasks clearly and correctly, be proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop), strong with Excel, have excellent project management skills, professional communication skills and an eye for detail.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Reconcile all bank accounts; maintain up-to-date knowledge of all cash accounts.
- Remit Sales Tax - File Sales Tax Returns - This is done for multiple entities in multiple states.
- Remit Payroll Taxes - File Payroll Tax Returns - This is done for multiple entities in multiple states.
- Perform month-end closings.
- Work with the accountant to prepare yearend taxes.
- Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules.
- Review Intercompany transactions for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare the trial balance.
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Oversee Human Resources - including Health Insurance, HSA and 401k administration.
- File IFTA, HUT and Heavy Highway Vehicles Returns.
- Manage/oversee the Accounts Payable clerk.
- Assist Payroll and Billing Personnel as needed when questions or problems arise.
- Represent our companies and their owners, in a professional manner, to our Accountant, Banking Representatives, Insurance Agents, and Benefits Vendors as primary point person.
*** Experience with multi-entity companies and/or the construction industry a plus.
