Accounting Manager

Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our well-established Construction and HVAC client in Raleigh. This is a newly created role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, establishing budgets, forecasting, and managing job cost tracking. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite by the end of the year. Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities of the company, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and job cost tracking.
Manage the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite, ensuring a smooth implementation process.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team of two
Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of the books, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key financial metrics, providing analysis and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives.
Conduct regular reviews of internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk.
Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management to support business growth and profitability objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practices are maintained.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Strong proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and NetSuite (experience with NetSuite implementation is a plus).
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
