Interns are part of the DMS Management Solutions team from day one. DMS is a small-sized Accounting Services firm that values each team member like family, encourages a solid work-life balance, and keeps things fun in the office, even during the busy season. Our interns get a well-rounded experience and have the opportunity to meet and work with our clients. DMS is currently looking for Winter 2024 and Summer 2024 Interns to join our team!
Through your DMS Internship, you will…
- Gain a basic understanding of Financial Accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, etc.
- Work on real month-end client work (trial balances, journal entries, work papers, etc.)
- Assist with Payroll reporting
- Collaborate with all levels of the firm, from staff to owners
- Interact and build relationships with clients and co-workers
- Full-time, paid internship at 40 hours a week, with overtime as needed
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or related major
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, who can interact with all levels of the firm
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Some working knowledge of financial software applications (QuickBooks, etc) is a plus, but not required
- Takes the initiative and is accountable for meeting firm standards for attendance, punctuality, and meeting work deadlines
