Position will be responsible for the end-to-end FFS revenue modeling process for the Riverside business within OptumCare. Will partner closely with our Rev Manager, Rev Cycle, and Finance teams to analyze and record revenue properly for this organization. Position will focus on the tactical processing as well as financial reporting duties both during and following month-end close. Looking for the position to support our eventual go-live in the Revenue Manager tool later in 2024. Also, will be tasked to work thru challenges related to changes in the Riverside business/operational structure.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains general ledger accounts and related activities to produce financial statements and reports.
- Analyzes revenues for multiple practice management systems and 100+ clinics generating $200M of net revenue annually.
- Performs 30 monthly account reconciliations; prepares 20 monthly journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Owns revenue model that calculates the above journal entries and revenue calculations.
- Involved in the monthly/quarterly close process providing support as required with journal entries, ad-hoc reporting, and analytics.
- Presents monthly revenue summary to Riverside operations and management staff.
- Collaborates with operations to provide meaningful metrics that support proactive efforts to boost collection ratios.
- Supports implementation of Revenue Manager on Riverside entity post go-live on EPIC, requiring engagement with Tri-State regional Accounting & FP&A counterparts

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
- Familiarity in working with large data sets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft Financials
- Month-end close experience
- Financial statement preparation
- Demonstrate solid attention to detail
- Proven to work independently in a self-directed manner, solving complex accounting issues and transactions
- Proven solid oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic working environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
