Accounting Associate

Duryea & Edwards CPAs is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to be in charge of our Accounting Department.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
• Compute and record numerical data
• Check the accuracy of business transactions
• Perform data entry and administrative duties
• Determine the required journal entries required and post journals
• Oversee other bookkeepers and data specialists to ensure the accuracy of client accounting
• Manage the process of finalizing and delivering accounting reports to clients

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be proficient in Quickbooks online and Desktop
• Some tax training would be a plus
• Accounting or equivalent degree is required
