Accounting Assistant

Job Description: As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance & administration department while also delivering excellent customer service to our valued customers. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks as well as interacting with customers to address inquiries and provide assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Process daily accounting transactions timely and accurately
• Assist in month-end close procedures
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person in a professional and courteous manner
• Resolve customer/vendor issues and escalate complex matters to the appropriate department or supervisor
• Maintain accurate customer/vendor records and account information
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow
• Front desk duties and customer service duties as necessary
• Perform general administrative tasks to support the finance department as needed

Requirements:

• High-school Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a customer service-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop & Zoho CRM is a plus
• Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles preferred
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices

Pay: $43,794.00 - $46,015.00 per year
