Accounting Assistant - Hybrid Role - Mount Prospect, IL

Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Prepares, maintains, and files paper & electronic accounting data, documents, and records.
- Verifies the accuracy of all invoices by reviewing and processing invoices, including notifying managers of missing invoices or receipts that have not been uploaded to the Dext program.
- Sends processed invoices to the ApprovalMax program.
- Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies, including hospital follow-up.
- Pays bills not set up on autopay.
- Pulls monthly loan statements from the bank.
- Maintains data entry in QuickBooks, daily deposits from Pulse, and other programs as needed, including checking hospital revenue totals for each business day and notifying managers of errors.
- Assists with entering bills, credit card charges, and deposits into QuickBooks.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes daily mail and deliveries and handles mail flow out of the office.
- Attend, engage, and provide input at team meetings.
- Maintain inventory and restock office supplies as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
- Strong computer knowledge, including MS Office applications.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, and communication skills.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Dext, ApprovalMax, or other invoice processing software preferred
