MBS Solutions has the immediate need on 1st Shift for a Financial Administrator, Accounting Assistant, AR/AP Clerk and or relevant based experience in the York, PA Area.
JOB TITLE - Accounting Assistant| Financial Administrator | AP/AR Assistant | Assistant to the President, VP and Materials Manager
INDUSTRY - Machine Shop
PAY RANGE -$16 - $21 Per Hour
LOCATION:
North York,/ Emigsville, PA Area
SHIFT:
- 1st Shift: 8AM-5PM
**All shifts are typically Monday-Friday and generally the hours as listed above. *
POSITION SUMMARY-
- Assistant to the President & Vice President: Assist the President in performing his or her duties as required.
- Financial Administrator: Maintain daily, monthly, and yearly financial records and disseminate data at the direction of the President and CEO.
MOST IMPORTANT THINGS CLIENT IS SEEKING -
- Finance Background (either 2 or 4 yr. degree preferred)
- Experience of 1-2 years minimum in Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable, Accounting Admin, relevant position.
- Reliability, Attention to detail, Organization, and Willingness to learn
JOB DESCRIPTION | DUTIES- (Within the limits of authorized policies, procedures, programs and budgets, incumbent is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the duties set forth below):
- Accounts Receivable: Enter bank deposits, process customers' invoices and follow up with past dues when necessary.
- Accounts Payable: Enter vendor's vouchers and process through payment.
- Gather and maintain financial information on a monthly and annual basis. Meet with accountants annually for a year-end audit.
- Enter new orders, update existing orders, and run contract review.
- Create job packets.
- Maintain consignment inventory.
- Process debit and credit memos.
- Back up to shipping and receiving.
- Monitor and resolve financial and assistant related issues, escalating as needed.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and Materials Manager.
- Communication with customers and co-workers on various matters such as, emailing, answering/ routing calls, taking messages as required, relaying information to intended call recipient, etc.
- Work with the management team to develop and execute training plans, improvements, etc. for productivity, production, and quality improvements to save costs when applicable.
- Assist with special projects and or additional duties as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to perform all duties and meet requirements with or without accommodation.
- Three years' experience or equivalent, working in an office environment with demonstrated typing and computer skills.
- Experience of 1-2 years in Accounting; AP & AR/ Financial Assistant/ clerk based role.
- College graduate preferred; high school diploma with courses in accounting or relevant; Or Highschool diploma with experience in Accounting, AR/AP, a minimum.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence and instructions.
- Excellent communication skills, either verbal or written.
- Must have the ability to successfully complete all training requirements listed on training matrix for this position.
- Must be available for scheduled work: Monday through Friday, normal workday of eight (8) hours, more or less hours as necessary.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, higherups, and clients.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to occasionally lift up 25 lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally squat, bend, twist, kneel, stand, walk, etc.
- Must be able to frequently sit in one area.
