Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Heavy data entry of tax preparation documents
- Answering phones and handling inquiries
- Scheduling appointments for the CPA/Owner
- Filing and maintaining organized records
- General clerical duties to support office operations
- Note: This position is replacing a retiring staff member, and the selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the CPA during this transition.
Job Details:
- Location: South Bellevue, WA (On-site)
- Schedule: 5 days a week, 4 hours a day (Monday to Friday)
- Duration: Starting this month through the end of April/early May
- Job Type: Part-time
Requirements:
- Basic accounting experience is required
- Professional tax preparation experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Minimum requirement: Experience in preparing personal tax returns for the past several years
- Familiarity with ProSeries (a TurboTax product) is advantageous, but training will be provided
- Ability to be flexible with work hours (start and end times)
- Detail-oriented and accurate in handling financial data
- Willingness to assist a CPA, especially during his recovery from recent shoulder surgery
