Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Heavy data entry of tax preparation documents
• Answering phones and handling inquiries
• Scheduling appointments for the CPA/Owner
• Filing and maintaining organized records
• General clerical duties to support office operations
• Note: This position is replacing a retiring staff member, and the selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the CPA during this transition.

Job Details:

• Location: South Bellevue, WA (On-site)
• Schedule: 5 days a week, 4 hours a day (Monday to Friday)
• Duration: Starting this month through the end of April/early May
• Job Type: Part-time

Requirements:

• Basic accounting experience is required
• Professional tax preparation experience is a plus, but not necessary
• Minimum requirement: Experience in preparing personal tax returns for the past several years
• Familiarity with ProSeries (a TurboTax product) is advantageous, but training will be provided
• Ability to be flexible with work hours (start and end times)
• Detail-oriented and accurate in handling financial data
• Willingness to assist a CPA, especially during his recovery from recent shoulder surgery
