The Accounting Manager/Accountant will play a crucial role in our financial management team, responsible for overseeing and managing all accounting operations within the company. This position requires a blend of accounting expertise and real estate knowledge to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and support of our company’s financial strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, receivables, payables, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate with internal department managers to ensure proper accounting of property transactions and operations.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including filings for property taxes, income taxes, and other relevant taxes.
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures to ensure financial integrity and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners to provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial data.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide recommendations for financial performance improvement.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting processes.
- Provide financial analysis and support for investment decisions, property acquisitions, and divestitures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in the real estate or wireless communications infrastructure sectors.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, management, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- This position is based in our North Reading, Massachusetts, with standard office hours from 8:30am to 5pm.
- Occasional travel to properties or other offices may be required.

Pay: $71,113.00 - $96,830.00 per year
