Malasha Technologies Inc. (MTI) is a specialized consulting company for Systems Applications and Products (SAP) enterprise software implementations. MTI’s focus is on implementations of SAP within the Department of Defense (DOD). MTI is looking for an Accountant with DoD Consulting Service Experience to join our team.
Security Clearance: Must possess or be eligible for a Secret or higher-level security clearance.
Objective: To provide accounting expertise and financial management support for Consulting Services delivered to the Department of Defense, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Maintain and manage financial records in accordance with the DoD's financial regulations and guidelines.
· Ensure compliance with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and other relevant DoD financial management regulations.
· Prepare, examine, and analyze financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
· Offer guidance and consultation on financial matters related to DoD projects, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and risk analysis.
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation for DoD projects.
· Monitor contract funding and provide timely notifications of any potential overruns or underruns.
· Assist in the preparation and submission of financial statements for annual and special audits.
· Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls and processes meet DoD standards.
· Stay updated on the latest accounting best practices, federal regulations, and changes in DoD financial management policies.
· Provide financial training and support to team members and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
· US Citizenship is required.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on DoD consulting or related DoD financial management roles.
· Knowledge of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements and processes.
· Familiarity with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) operations is a plus.
· Proficiency in using accounting software and tools pertinent to the DoD environment.
· Strong understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards.
Skills:

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Familiarity with cybersecurity and data protection standards pertinent to the DoD environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
