Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preserve our Core Values of Respect, Kindness & Compassion, Honesty, and Service Excellence.
- Payroll Processing - Process payroll, process fringe benefit deductions and process employee terminations/new hires expeditiously.
- Accounts Payable - Review expenditure coding and approve invoices/credit card transactions. Assist with data entry integrations to help ensure complete financial records and timely vendor payments.
- Other Analysis - Support compliance team with monthly and quarterly preparation of sales & use tax returns.
- General Office and Accounting Duties - Answer the telephone, sort mail, route invoices; make accounting entries or other duties that the Senior Accounting Team may require assistance with. Be open to cross-training opportunities.
- Proficient company software utilization - Including Sage 300 accounting modules, including general ledger, accounts payable and cash management applications; and other 3rd party platforms including, but not limited to Paycor (HRIS), Timberscan, Concur, Event1 and AvidXchange.
- Cross training - Opportunities available to gain experience in Community Accounting and Financial Reporting.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience in accounting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office software including spreadsheets and word documents.
- Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems or invoice processing platforms, not required but beneficial.
- Ability to type quickly, communicate effectively and learn quickly with little supervision.
- Work the following schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm at our Home Office located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
