Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements on time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments if needed
- Compute taxes and prepare sales/use tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit & loss statements
- Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Provide financials to clients and answer questions as needed
- Ensure systematic and clear communications with clients
- Be a liason between the client and our team members
Skills
- Work experience as an Accountant (2-7 years)
- Experience with non-profit organizations
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Exposure to tax returns and/payroll a plus
- Additional certification (CPA) is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
