Accountant (Managing Multiple Clients)

You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide the company with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of client's business.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements on time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments if needed
• Compute taxes and prepare sales/use tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit & loss statements
• Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Provide financials to clients and answer questions as needed
• Ensure systematic and clear communications with clients
• Be a liason between the client and our team members

Skills

• Work experience as an Accountant (2-7 years)
• Experience with non-profit organizations
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Exposure to tax returns and/payroll a plus
• Additional certification (CPA) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
