Whether we are serving guests, a fellow team member, or a trucking company, we are dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to classify, examine, and analyze accounting records, prepare related financial reports and statements for management, and handle-less complex aspects of accounting role.In this role you will:Perform general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedulesPay vendor invoices; receive and post customer payments on a timely basisPrepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principlesProvide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budgetAnalyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reportsConduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projectsPerform special projects as assignedModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Complete other duties as assigned Additional Duties May Include:Maintain, collect, and reconcile accounts payable or receivable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reportsPrepare analyses and reconciliations to detect fraudRespond to department-related inquiries via e-mail and phone callComplete audit schedules to support internal and external requestsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certification required Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferredMinimum two years’ experience in accounting or related area requiredGeneral Ledger experience preferredCompetencies:Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong teamwork, problem-solving, conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skills Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate financial principles and practices with non-finance team membersAbility to meet deadlines, work extended hours when necessary, and perform work with a high sense of urgencyAdditional InformationNation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/Vision401(k) and Flexible Spending AccountsOnsite Gym and CafeteriaTuition ReimbursementWeekly PayAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guideline2242
