Job Title: Accountant
Location: Adams, NE
Pay Range: $77,000 to $100,000 per year
  • High preference for someone local!!
  • Relocation (Case by Case based on mileage)
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Preferred
  • Will consider additional work experience in lieu of educational requirement.
  • 2+ years of applicable work experience.
  • Will report to Accounting Manger
  • In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles required.
  • Continuous process manufacturing environment preferred
  • CPA or CMA preferred

Accountant
Salary Range:$77,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually
The Accountant is responsible for assisting with the creation of accurate and timely financial records. The Accountant assists the Senior Accountant with daily processes. The Accountant assists with the payroll function. The Accountant will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company, and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting:
  • Assists with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting duties.
  • Prepares and records journal entries.
  • Reconciles various general ledger accounts.
  • Assists with the accounts payable function under the direction of the Senior Accountant.
  • Scans and files invoices and mails out weekly payables checks.
  • Assists with accounting for fixed assets, including asset acquisitions, dispositions, tracking of project costs, calculating depreciation, and preparation of the fixed asset roll-forward schedule.
  • Assists with accounts receivable functions as assigned.
  • Assists with the company's various carbon-intensity accounting functions.
  • Assists with payroll and benefits related accounting functions as assigned.

Investor transactions, recordkeeping, relations
  • Assists with investor unit transfer and unit redemption requests according to company policy.
  • Helps to maintain investor database and records.
  • Assists with mailings to investors (distribution checks, newsletters, financials, etc.).
  • Responsible for activities related to annual shareholder meeting coordination.

Miscellaneous
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information as appropriate.
  • Responsible for getting cross-trained and serving as the backup for other positions and job duties.
  • Maintains office supplies inventory.
  • Manages copier / postage machine and office/mobile phones.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Information systems
  • Excellent computer skills including typing and data entry, necessary to perform the duties required for this job.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with payroll and accounting software packages is preferred.

People skills
  • Maintains a high level of customer service and a pleasant work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak and write clearly.
  • Works well with others.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with at least 2 years applicable work experience. May consider additional work experience in lieu of educational requirement. General knowledge of accounting principles required.
