The accountant reports to the CFO and is responsible for accurate accounting of company resources. This position gathers and reports financial information, oversees the preparation and evaluation of reports, and works with related companies to maintain accurate accounting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the monthly closing process.
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Creating journal and submitting to CFO for approval.
- Working with the CFO to audit financial statements and prepare tax returns.
- Supervising the Accounts Payable Administrator.
- Working with the Warehouse Manager to track company-owned equipment & vehicles by job and maintain the fixed asset listing in Asset Keeper.
- Preparing parent company reporting, specifically Magnitude & ICM.
- Reconciling monthly bank statements, and all general ledger monthly.
- Working with the CFO to develop written accounting department policies and processes.
- Joining a construction accounting organization and attend at least one professional development class a month.
- Working with the CFO to implement and train on accounting software.
Education / Skills / Experience:
- 3-5 years office experience with construction accounting.
- Accounting or Business degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in cost and project accounting a plus.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
- Prior experience with Viewpoint Construction Software a plus.

Pay: Up to $115,000.00 per year
