We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Escrow Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate shall have experience in accounting, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of escrow processes in the context of Surrogacy law.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Egg Donation and Surrogacy escrow accounts/cases, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements of funds.
- Prepare and review escrow-related documents, such as Retainer Agreement, disbursement ledgers, and wire transfer instructions.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing funds, verifying amounts and ensuring proper allocation to the appropriate accounts.
- Take partial work of Office Manager, Website Editing and Social Media Marketing
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to ensure smooth escrow transactions related to ART law matters.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports under Accountant's instructions, including monthly and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and Tracking employee's work hours/time sheet via system and submit the paycheck request to the accountant
- Strong Sense of maintaining confidentiality of Employees' and company information, records, documents
- Strong Passion to learn and understand legal contracts and eager to grow with the Firm
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in legal, escrow, accounting, preferably with a focus on escrow or reproductive law transactions.
- Reliable and strong sense of maintaining confidentiality
- Good Understanding of escrow processes and regulations in Surrogacy law.
- Proficient in Excel, Quickbooks and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
