Accountant

Immediate Direct Hire need for an Accountant for a hybrid role out of Johnston, IA.
This is a Direct hire opening. Candidates must be willing/able to work W2. No C2C or 1099 candidates can be considered.
Candidates must be local to the Des Moines area.
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, Excel expertise, a fundamental understanding of accounting - debt/credit, income, expenses, reconciliations.
Need to be able to hit the ground running. , critical thinking skills, accounting experience

As Accountant you will assist in many aspects of ensuring financial accounting are executed in accordance with applicable, IFRS and U.S. GAAP standards, company policies, as well as applicable federal reporting requirements. The candidate will collaborate with colleagues in finance and other business leaders across the organization and therefore requires exceptional communication skills to effectively convey accounting matters.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesSupport the financial accounting team ensuring timely execution of accounting processes in an effective manner and in compliance with Company policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. GAAP and applicable federal reporting requirements.
Responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
Lead in researching and resolving discrepancies related to general ledger account reconciliations, and recommend and champion process changes to avoid on-going issues.
Review accounting tasks with a continuous focus on improving processes and enhancing financial controls.
Act as liaison between Accounting team and the business - Communicating and Educating.
Ensure the financial results are presented accurately and timely; with corresponding analytics.
Ensure timely and correct execution of accounting activities for vendors and lessees to achieve accurate and up-to-date administration and financial reporting.
RequirementsBachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong financial system expertise, encompassing spreadsheet, queries, large volume data manipulation and reconciliation, and month-end accounting close processes.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills as wells as strong attention to detail, organized and time effective.
Self-starter with the ability to work cohesively with team members.
Familiar with U.S. GAAP financial reporting.
Capacity to manage multiple deliverables within agreed timeframes.
Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers and business as well as upper management.

General info: Schedule: Flexible hours, but must start the day by 8:00 AM
Month beginning and end are the busiest times; time off is discourage during this time period
Limited overtime may be offered
This is a global company, therefore some holidays may require work (double time)

Wednesdays are required for this team, and there is flexibility with additional onsite days
Salary: Base - $55,000-60,000.
