\nFast-paced manufacturer is seeking an Accountant. As the Accountant, you will report to an Accounting Manager and will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Accounting Manager with site accounting functions. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
\n\nSupporting the Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end reconciliation \nPreparing and running weekly and monthly reports \nDocumenting, entering and posting fixed assets and depreciation \nCompleting reconciliation for A/R, A/P, P&L and balance sheet \nPreparing and verifying weekly A/P payments \nAssisting with quarterly and yearly audits and year-end inventory \nReconciling bank accounts and company credit cards\nFiling J-SOX paperwork\nUtilizing 10-key data entry to input information into the organization's ERP system \nLearning to be a backup team member for A/R and A/P functions\nCompleting weekly payroll submissions and GL reporting \nPartnering with the accounting team to finish projects in a timely manner\nProviding daily guidance to the accounting specialists \nCommunicating with team members on accounting improvements and projects\nOther tasks as assigned by management\n\n
\nCandidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and communicating with internal and external customers. Individuals should be willing to sit the majority of their day performing regular numerical data entry. Being detail oriented and thorough are key attributes to this position! REQUIREMENTS for the Accountant:
1. An Associate's degree is preferred, but not required
2. One to two years of similar high-volume accounting experience
\n3. Experience with accounts payables
\n4. Experience with general ledger and reconciliation
\n5. Working knowledge of GAAP
\n6. The ability to perform 10-key data entry
7. Experience working with MS Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Experience working with ERP systems
2. Manufacturing experience
\n3. Experience with accounts receivables
\n4. Experience posting and supporting payroll accounting functions
Candidates are preferred to be local to the Tiffin, OH area; there is not any relocation available at this time.
