Accountant

ThunderCloud Management is looking for a a self motived, driven individual to join our team. ThunderCloud manages accounts for several clients and as our company grows, so does our team. The Accountant is responsible for performing various functions; including but not limited to bank reconciling, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This is position comes with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, etc., 401K matching program, PTO package and FREE lunch daily.

Job Responsibilities:

• Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Assists in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Maintains general ledger accounts
• Performs ratio analysis and monthly transactions coding, and maintains required business documents
• Oversees bank reconciliations
• Corrects accounting errors and posts journal entry adjustments
• Processes wire transfers
• Provides back-up to other accounting personnel as required
• Assist with other accounting projects
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years experience in Accounting
• QuickBooks
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
• Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy
• Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision
• Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
• Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
• Good understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
