We are seeking an Accountant who will provide support to the Accounting and Finance group in the areas of general accounting, reporting and analysis, and month-end closing. Responsible for various accounting functions including standard cost, inventory management and analysis, processing invoices, auditing expenses, weekly payment run and in-depth review and analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Pay rate: $69,000 - $77,000 per year plus bonus target
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cost Management - 80%
- Reconcile work-in-process variances, analyzing and closing work orders;
- Responsible for managing inventory sub-ledgers;
- Responsible for the part number setups and cost set up;
- Review and perform BOM roll-up cost.
- Responsible for Perpetual inventory reconciliation;
- Analyze warranty reimbursement and cost accrual;
- Analyze and accrue for service labor cost and warranty expenses;
- Perform and assist in Cycle count and yearly physical inventory;
- Reconcile inventory value which is located at customer on hand;
- Analyze expensed materials and recognize sales tax;
- Responsible for the proper recognition of cost between different business division.
- Prepare and maintain desktop procedure and training materials;
- Monthly Inventory and Cost account reconciliation;
- Support inventory In-transit tracking, Inventory reserves, transfer price and overhead costs update
Accounts Payable -20%
- Processes daily AP Inquiry, Invoices approval and posting;
- Upload of P-card expenses to system;
- Audit and approve Travel & Entertainment expense reports through I-expense;
- Prepares wire request and submit to Treasury department;
- Prepares weekly payment runs for employee travel & expenses and vendors;
- Reconciles A/P Aging to General Ledger;
- Monthly Expenses and payment accounts reconciliation;
- Monthly accounting closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and financial report reconciliation.
- Assists with preparation of monthly financial statement reports to management and headquarter.
- Assist in requested analysis for budget and forecast planning.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
- Proactively develops and recommends methodology to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial data and performance.
- Prepare, analyze and assist in internal and external audit and tax filing schedules.
- Assist operations and outside warehouse with various issues.
- Special projects as requested.
EXPERIENCE:
- Desired 2 years’ experience within an Accounting or Finance corporate environment
EDUCATION:
- Associates degree in Accounting or beyond
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge in Cost Accounting; inventory experience at a contract manufacturer a plus.
- Experience with large ERP software; hands-on experience with Oracle highly preferred.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Working experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to overcome challenges to meet tight deadlines; team oriented and continuous improvement mindset; able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information.
