Accountant

As an Accountant, you will provide administrative and financial expertise within the Finance/Accounts Payable area of AEM. The position will focus on expense coding and categorization accuracy, approving all expense transactions posted to the ERP system. This position will also be responsible for expense report and credit card review/accounting approval.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily review of bank accounts to ensure all credits are appropriately posted to NetSuite GL. Responsible for identifying and adding any missing transactions.
• Review AP invoice entry by automation software for accuracy, specifically reviewing GL account and department. Review expenses against budget to ensure appropriate account/department entry.
• Review vendor information entered by automation software for accuracy and approve changes.
• Allocate expenses to appropriate GL accounts and/or departments based on budget.
• Initiate payments through third-party software. Record and initiate vendor prepayments in ERP and through third-party software.
• Review and provide accounting approval for employee expense reports based on company policy.
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding status of invoices and payments.
• Post journal entries for accruals and allocations at month end.
• Review assigned income statement accounts against budget and participate in departmental expense reviews.
• Provide additional support within the Finance department, as assigned.

• Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting
• Recent Experience as an Accountant, minimum 2 years
• High-Volume Accounts Payable Experience, minimum 4 years
• General Ledger Accounting, minimum 2 years
• NetSuite Experience, minimum 1 year
• Ability to identify problems, review related information, and develop/evaluate options for solutions.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.
• Understanding of US GAAP.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s in accounting preferred
• Tipalti Experience, strongly preferred

· This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States

US Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 per year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
