Account Manager - Sales
Our client has been producing custom manufactured, superior quality rubber and thermoplastic products for over 35 years. Their products can be found on buildings with architectural seals, on semi-trucks in window seals, on cable jacketing in hospitals, and products in a variety of other industries.
SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a professional skilled in customer, vendor, and internal relations who will create and maintain bids/quotes for complex projects. Successful candidates will enjoy a professional work environment with significant opportunities for growth and career development.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm
PAY: $60,000/hr plus commissions, target comp, $80,000 in year one.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Utilize knowledge of available materials & processes to ascertain performance and ability to produce potential proposal
- Able to retrieve or provide pricing information & report sales performance
- Report sales performance & projections to Director of Sales/Management
- Research, retrieve and understand specifications
- Maintain & extract information in Access quote program
- Produce formal quotes, re-quotes & worksheets
- Document quotes and contract reviews
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles and able to read part prints
- Maintain account base and grow business through best practice sales techniques
- Knowledge of tooling resources & buy-out of service vendors & products
- Ability to operate company customer relationship management (CRM) software - Hubspot
- Process and ensure drawing control
- Harvest new business/accounts via inbound and outbound sales and marketing
- Work with management to develop sales plans & forecast sales for territory or responsible customers
- Initiate and assist with R&D/New Projects
- Understand safety rules, quality policies and procedures
- Responsibility & authority for disposition of non-conforming product per QP10210
- Maintain organization to ensure accuracy of communications & instructions
- Initiate obsolete tool dispositioning
- Utilize knowledge of SolidWorks/CAD systems and process prints
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year training in the job tasks required or transferable skills
- High School Diploma, Some College highly preferred.
- Knowledge in and able to use Word, Excel, and Outlook w
- Knowledge of, or comfortability with industrial and manufacturing environment.
- Posses a valid drivers license and a good driving record
- Must be able to travel 25% of work schedule
- Understand basic engineering practices
- Required to read and understand technical documents as related to sales contracts.
- Extreme attention to detail and highly efficient organizational skills
