The Account Manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of sales volume for their assigned accounts. Managing partnerships with retail companies. The role will have a deep understanding of the retail industry and will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining successful relationships with these retailers, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Account oversight: Manage administration of accounts, to include oversight of account creation, accuracy of inventory/product information, timeliness of orders, and problem resolution. Accounts may include, but are not limited to: Best Buy, Target, Micro Center.
- Retail Partnership Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at Best Buy, Target, and Micro Center, being the primary point of contact for these retailers, ensuring their needs are met, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Competitive account pricing: Benchmark pricing against market to ensure competitive pricing to drive product movement and revenue.
- Account Supply: Collaborate with buyer on account supply, including communicating price updates and weekly deal submissions.
- Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of products and services, and effectively communicate their value propositions to retail partners, providing product training and support to retail staff to enhance their knowledge and sales capabilities.
- Contract and Agreement Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing agreements, and other commercial terms with retail partners and Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and agreements.
- Prepare regular reports on the performance of our products within the retail partners' stores and Analyze sales data and other metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Along with any other duties that the JEG management team dips necessary
- Bachelor's degree in Business preferred. Related experience considered in lieu of education.
- Prior experience of 3 to 5 years in retail accounts management. (Experience working with Best Buy, Target or Micro Center is a plus).
- Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics, trends, and customer behaviors.
- Highly attentive to detail, excellent follow-up skills, able to work accurately and efficiently at a fast pace, be an excellent multitasker.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
