Job Description
The ideal Account Manager, located in the Montgomery or Birmingham area, will have responsibility for covering the entirety of Alabama, including the Florida Panhandle up to and including Tallahassee.
In this position, the individual will be tasked with formulating and executing a comprehensive business plan for their territory. Their primary responsibilities will involve promoting and selling Bio-Rad's clinical diagnostic product line to achieve sales objectives within their assigned accounts. They will also play a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating new client opportunities, managing project priorities, meeting demanding customer requests and deadlines, and maintaining an organized approach to territory management.
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and presenting competitive services, pricing strategies, and other related activities. Effective oral and written communication is a key component of this role, as the individual will collaborate with the broader sales team to devise and implement sales and marketing strategies. Furthermore, the Account Manager will consistently uphold Bio-Rad's commitment to customer satisfaction by promptly resolving customer issues and concerns, while also demonstrating a solid understanding of and adherence to Bio-Rad's quality policy.
Personal growth and continuous learning are encouraged in this role, with a strong emphasis on attending mandatory sales training, seminars, and trade shows.
This is a remote/field based role.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Precall planning and scheduling, answering emails, replying to customer requests (product inquires, product quotes, order assistance, etc…), assisting with internal Bio-Rad requests (from local sales team, customer service or technical service)
- Reviewing/updating SalesForce.com sales funnel.
- Travel to customer labs to manage and implement sales plan and provide customer support as needed.
What You Bring:
- Education: BA/BS degree in a medical technology, life science or technical related discipline or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Work Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Clinical Diagnostics sales and/or certified laboratory experience.
- 20% overnight travel is required.
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- There are no "conflicts of interest" to sell the full Bio-Rad Clinical Diagnostics portfolio.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $82,000 to $112,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
