BASIC JOB SUMMARY:
The main purpose of this position is to find new business leads and turn those leads into sales. As an Account Executive, you are responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients, building strong relationships, and driving sales growth for our broadband and telecommunication solutions. This role involves regional travel (typically by car) to pursue expanded sales. This job requires familiarity with the telecommunications industry, business class internet service, and managed IT (Information Technology) products.

- Research and identify potential clients within the assigned territory.
- Generate leads through a variety of channels including cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Utilize CRM systems and sales tools to manage and track leads effectively.
- Understand the unique needs and challenges of potential clients in relation to broadband and telecommunication services and promote company products and services.
- Articulate the value proposition of our broadband and telecommunication offerings, highlighting benefits and features that meet client needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and goals to position our solutions effectively.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and activity reports to sales management on a regular basis.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape within the broadband and telecommunication sector.
- Provide ongoing and productive feedback to management regarding needs/campaigns that might increase sales and improve the customer experience
- Responsible for practicing and exhibiting concise and qualified closing skills to secure new business opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrate a willingness and enthusiasm to learn and apply new sales techniques
- Travel up to 60% should be expected
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience – Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. A minimum of four (4) years relevant sales experience in the broadband and telecommunication industry, or a proven track record of selling fiber or VoIP-related products in a new market is required. Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the broadband and telecommunication industry.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Strong organization, presentation, negotiations, written and verbal communication skills, including maintaining and meeting various deadlines. Must be detail oriented with a background in problem solving with the ability to multi-task. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Requires excellent written and verbal skills.
