Account Executive

As a UCW Account Executive you will be part of a growing people-oriented organization. You will be expected to have a hunter mentality with a goal of prospecting potential clients for the UCW suite of services. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Territory is primarily the Eastern US.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, prospect and close new customers.
• Develop tailored solutions for customers based on their needs and the UCW suite of services: LTL, TL, Warehousing and Systems.
• Collaborate across internal channels to provide comprehensive supply chain solutions.
• Align with current company strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development.
• Consult with multiple decision-makers to understand their business challenges and supply chain goals.
• Collaborate with Solutions teams to execute an implementation plan to transition relationship management duties effectively.
• Assist in the development of any standard operating procedures required to manage the customers' business effectively.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in the Logistics and Transportation industry with at least 2-5 years of experience in a business development/Account Executive role with a proven track record of success acquiring new business.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to consult with decision-makers and understand their business challenges and goals.
• Familiarity with logistics industry trends and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Experience in prospecting and lead generation.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers. (Approximately 10% overnight, 25% beyond local territory.)
• BA/BS Degree preferred.
