Responsible for managing sales and business development activities for the USDA account that lead to execution on the awarded EIS task order as well the expansion and growth of new business. Accountable for the coordination and strategy on within USDA leadership, the Eco team as we transform USDAnet to the next generation of technology. Responsible for the overall development and implementation of the account plan, opportunities within SFDC and leveraging the myriad of products and services across Lumen to attain new business.
• Identifies, bid on and negotiate, closes new sales opportunities in order to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas. Provides comprehensive account plans (Altify) and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts.
• Broadens and deepens existing customer relationships in order to gain strategic positioning as well as retain existing revenue and attain additional business.
• Provides input to sales management about trends and changes taking place within the customer’s organization and makes recommendations about future courses of action necessary of the company towards improving its position with the customer.
• Provides accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel within SFDC of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the company's entire product suite. May have more in-depth knowledge on a subset of products and/or services.
• Drives account management responsibilities including solution creation, solution offering, configuration management, order issuance, service delivery, service management, and revenue recognition.
• Demonstrates a balance of strategic and tactical thought leadership.
• 10 years of sales experience, preferably with Public Sector and Federal Civilian sales.
• Knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry's competitive landscape.
• Cyber security product sales experience preferred.
• Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
• Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• At least 50% of the time conducting sales activities outside of the office.
• Experience with Salesforce.com.
• Ability to travel as required.
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$77440 - $96803 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$81510 - $101888 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$85590 - $106988 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$89670 - $112080 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
