This is a direct hire opportunity for an Access Control Technician in our Advanced Systems division. Our labor rate ranges from $16/hr to $30/hr plus OT when approved, depending on your skills, how quickly you learn, and ability to meet the team's production levels. We are currently looking for someone with Access Control and/or fiber experience.

Bandera Networks is a provider of advanced IT and AV systems, primarily residential and some commercial. We provide Sales, Installation, and ongoing maintenance for our clients. Bandera IS is a leading provider of IOT solutions in DFW. We nurture relationships in the MultiFamily and Rental markets to support this division.

Purpose of the Job: Role

A technician in our Advanced systems division holds a primary responsibility to learn and absorb information and learn from tasks assigned to them. It is also necessary to perform installations of the highest quality and to exceed the clients expectation. It is necessary to solve problems, troubleshoot and communicate to your team and client in a timely and efficient manner.

App and Software Usage:

Team member is willing to learn and properly use all company software applications in a timely and efficient manner.

Communication:

Is able to clearly communicate both verbally and written to: Teammates, supervisors, tenants, and clients.

Installation Skills and Job Site Performance:

Proper usage of PPE: Masks, gloves, booties and safety glasses.

Proper installation and pairing for: door locks, troves, push to exit, pull points/pathways, motion sensors, low voltage wiring, and other misc equipment

Proper installation for: Racks, patchpanels, keystones, RJ45's, Pathways, other misc. devices/equipment.

Tech is early or on time to work, ready to go.

Tech is learning something new on regular basis

Follows the scope of work assigned to them and completes tasks in a timely manner and continues to be more efficient

Tech can read instructions for installing devices or something new

Uses blankets and protects work area at all times, while cleaning up after themselves and representing Bandera and its clients in the highest manner.

Has the ability to or willingness to learn how to manage up to 4 team members

Tools and Test equipment:

Tech has the ability to use all the standard hand and power tools required to complete their assigned tasks.

Tech keeps a neat and organized tool bag. Tech knows how the van is loaded and how the van is staged upon arrival.

Personal Growth:

Tech has learned something new on a regular basis and is expressing a desire to learn new things.

Tech has arrived to work on or before required time consistently.

Authority:

Be an effective team member, recognize possible mistakes and help correct them or report them to your supervisor.

Seek permission and approval from supervisor as a Level 1 tech.

Travel:

Travel is a requirement. The time spent traveling is generally about 75% of the time. You could be out of town, 2-8 weeks at a time.

Experience:

Tool usage and knowledge

Access control and cabling preferred.

Electrical or HVAC knowledge (a plus)

Requirements:

Team member can stand, squat, walk, and climb stairs up and down for an entire workday.
Moving at a swift pace for the day. Your team will move steadily; you will have to do the same.
Understanding blueprints, and design drawings, including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable supports.
